On the outside it looks like oranges and on the inside, the deep dark red will give you a shock. It really does look like blood. Even though I have this every year during peak season, I still get excited when I cut open one. It always surprises me :)) Now don't worry, it doesn't taste anything like blood, the taste is actually tart and sweet.. The color actually varies within varieties as well as fruit to fruit so you may get one which is a bit darker or lighter than the one in the above photo.
One of my favorite ways to enjoy this fruit is to make juice out of it. Its great in cocktails with Grand Marnier and excellent when paired with chocolates.
Here I've paired it with the sourness of lemons... just coz :)))

Read that you suffer from FM. There is a new drug out there for FM called Savella. Have you heard of it? I suffer from Chronic daily headaches (5 years now) and doctor suggested I try Savella. I have experienced some lessening of pain with it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Thanks for the tip. I will check it out:)
